A Big Argh

Considering that I'm leaving for Amsterdam in about five and a half hours, I think it'd be a good idea to start packing...

A shame I don't have more time to play with Thingie the Third... Annoying, too. Distracting - I should've been packing, but I first had to go to Zagreb just to get it, and then I went looking for software and all that...

So. Is this an end to weeks of hectic schedules? If I wasn't traveling by air later today, I would've even said yes. As it is...

Rest

I actually thought about going out today, but I was thwarted by April. No point in running around taking pictures when we have hourly shower storms...

24.4.08

Seminars, Seminars

There is an edge of hysteria in the air. I think it's really good I'm going on a holiday after this. The Youth is really excited and very much into this... I suppose I'm a bit afraid of what the Mocker will do about that. I suppose the Youth is, too.

Maybe I really should start taking the NRI again.

23.4.08

Almost

Two more days. Two more days I've spent a long time preparing for... I've spent so much energy on it, I don't have any left any more. (Though that might be because I've stopped taking my NRI.) I don't even care if the thing succeeds or not.

In unrelated news... I don't have any Metallica on Lazy. I just forgot about them. Kind of sad, I used to like Metallica a lot.

Filling the Things

Ahhh, nothing like a day at work to provide a distraction-free environment...

20.4.08

Zubrowka

Spring has really arrived, and with it...

I think I'll stick to beer. I can't get drunk on liquor. At least, I seem unable to drink enough of it to get drunk. And it's not conductive to sipping.

19.4.08

Chicken Breast in Apricot Sauce

I think I shall be needing a new bottle of oil soon.

A moment has come to do something I've been resisting since, well, forever. Until now, it was easy, because I didn't have any hard liquor, but the friend from Warsaw gave me a bottle of Zubrowka vodka, and the temptation has been with me ever since I got back.

So tonight, we have a vodka night. Let's see how it goes...

16.4.08

SP

Two computers. One service pack. No pain.

A miracle.

I would've never expected something Windows to free disk space, either...

15.4.08

Maintenance

The main site down. Until I decide what to make out of it...

13.4.08

Sunday the 13th

Bloody throat has been worn raw by constant coughing... As usual, that bloody opioid suppressant doctors around here are too fond of had no effect. Gaaah!

Now I just have to survive two more weeks. Two bloody weeks before my holiday...

10.4.08

Shoot!

I think I've forgotten how to play FPSes. Not that I was ever good at them, but my latest attempt was just... A disaster. A complete and total disaster.

9.4.08

Oh, and Name the Song

Through the deserts of sand and snow
The time is passing and I know:
That I'm wasting my life, destroying my dreams
I'm diving into the bottomless sea...

8.4.08

Le Miserable

Head very much overstuffed with wool.

So it's not that that pleasant woozy-floaty feeling one has when drunk. It's a painful woozy-floaty feeling one would have if drunk and hungover at the same time. Only I'm neither drunk, nor hungover, I have a cold, and the weather is making me suffer a bit more. I think it'd be nice to bite somebody's head off, I certainly feel like doing it, but I also don't think it'd make any difference. Maybe I could go break something just to check?

7.4.08

Flow, My Goo

At least it's flowing, so it doesn't hurt...

So what to say about the J. V. Jones' Sword of Shadows three-book series? It's not finished. Oh, the third is the last book, but the bloody story is not bloody finished! I could forgive the painfully slow writing style (and I did), and all the spin-off storylines wouldn't have been so bad if at least some of them got wrapped up... But no. A disappointment.

5.4.08

Two of Two

I go to one EU event, I catch a cold. I go to another EU event, I catch a cold again. It remains to be seen if I'll catch a cold at the third...

4.4.08

Air Force One

Dubya came to Zagreb early, the plane for Warsaw wasn't late enough, so I'm happily back home... Sweet home.
