New, Even More Improved

New hosting
. Lots of space. Adequate bandwidth. Unlimited everything else. A promise of 99.9% uptime. And dirt cheap, too. Might even not turn out to be too good to be true, since they've been around for a while.

I just wish I didn't feel this shitty.

Time Out

Changing hosting... Will be back shortly.

Wishes

My dreams are back. They are so back, I can't sleep.

It started as a nice day. Now I want to eat pink pills.

27.12.05

Paypal Really Sucks

Or not. Bloody hosting company accepts only bloody Paypal. Which they don't say right away, but hide it in the signup process. FTI, Paypal is not credit cards.

Grr... Searching on.

Paypal Sucks

Time to buy myself some hosting... The bad thing is, I can't use Paypal, and that's what most of the affordable hosting services want.

Still, I found something I like. This Dream-hosting.co.uk's package (link removed in anger, and with prejudice) looks like a decent deal. I just need to design a site... And make some things to put on it... And... And... Yeah.

26.12.05

Breathe... Breathe...

I sleep for almost an entire day. Then I sleep for three hours.

I feel so German.

High

I feel excited. Ecstatic. Energised. I think it's due to the lack of sleep.

Mark Twain sometimes really knew how to say stupid things...

24.12.05

While I Was Napping

I've had an idea or two... Which is good, I suppose.

One thing amazes me, though... How do owls manage to make their beaks look cute?

23.12.05

Expiration Date

Recharged. Reset. Ready. And registered.

Now I need inspiration. Of more than one kind.

22.12.05

Midwinter Night

Yes, I know. It was yesterday.

Tonight I celebrate. If I had any real poetic inclinations (I am a 2005 Editors' Choice Poet of the International Library of Poetry, mind you), I'd sing about virgins sacrificed and wine flowing like blood (or the other way around), half-naked dancing in moonlight and such things. Instead, I'll just pop open a bottle of that same wine I celebrated the last Midwinter Night with.

So let the wine flow...

9 Minutes

I again wish somebody would tell me a story... Maybe I should go read the Chronicles of Narnia. Or perhaps I should see the flic first, might be less of a disappointment that way.

Also in the news... I've picked the background colour (I know you can't see it) for the new site. At this rate, I'll finish it by spring.

19.12.05

Pattern: Broken

To sleep around 0730. Bloody fuck.

18.12.05

Mantras

It must be positive. The last two words are important.

But what does it matter what I say when in the background, I'm thinking something completely different...

17.12.05

[Snif...]

I wish somebody would tell me a story...

It Turns, Things Happen

Before I seriously started reading the 11th Wheel of Time book, I asked a person who had already read it, is the book different than the previous few ones. He said, things actually happen in this one. So it was, things actually happened. But they happened in the way Jordan usually does things: rushed. There were no climactic resolutions of tensions which have been building up for at least two previous books. Events just... Happened. In passing. As my people say, the mountains shook, and a mouse was born. Even though this book was better than previous two (not much of an achievement), it was a disappointment. But then again, wasn't that what I expected?

15.12.05

For and Against

I neeeeeeed a TV! Or a TV device of some sort for Toy...
(Rly?)

14.12.05

Inversion

Nights became days and days turned into nights... The Midwinter Night is coming.

13.12.05

Both Sides

Lesbian love scenes... Mmm. You get to enjoy both sides at the same time.

12.12.05

No Cooperation

Freezing. Rain. Damn, I want some warmer, nicer weather so I can go out and shoot a bit! But oh, it's December. So why isn't it snowing? Snow's nice for shooting, too.

11.12.05

I Protest!

The first 'real' photo has been made with Clicky early this morning. Which means I should start working on the new gallery...

Also in the news... Protests are held all over the country. Not against the government, the organisers say, but as a sign of support to the arrested Ante Gotovina. Right. It is nice to see the ruling party getting some of their own medicine, though.

10.12.05

The Yawn of Pleasure

When a Saturday feels like a Sunday... Mmm. I've got another four weeks of... Rest, I suppose I should call it.

I've decided what I'm going to call the new camera. Clicky.

9.12.05

AA

It's interesting how I have favourite beers... But not favourite wines. I actually very rarely drink the same wine more than once, and it's not just a matter of the vintage.

8.12.05

MasterCard

What a fine Friday this was... I feel so positive, mostly because tomorrow is Saturday, and I have a new camera and I'm going to use it. And I can finally have a pot of tea in peace.

The front page piece of news... General Gotovina got caught... In the Canaries. He really has a taste for picking hiding places, doesn't he... Canaries are lovely at this time of the year.

But damn, do I feel positive...

7.12.05

Outrage

Canon actually sells user manuals for its products. No, you can't download a copy. You have to pay 12.5 euros plus shipping to get one. Low, so low.

6.12.05

Press the Shutter

Here's the new toy and its new eye. I believe I'm actually happy. It also means that there may be new material in the gallery soon...

And that in despite of the stupidity of our government, parliament and assorted other institutions I'm hearing about on the radio right now.

5.12.05

Technopaganism

I read the signs. I could not have misread them. The influence should be favourable. But which way?

4.12.05

To Fly Still...

The Light of Axim shone on me, and I dreamed. The details are lost in the mists of night, but I know it was a flying dream.

3.12.05

The Last Minute

Nice flic, the fourth Harry Potter. They did a pretty good job squeezing out the unnecessary things. Still, the book is, as usual, better.

2.12.05

Good, Bad...

I feel... I feel... Strange. I've ordered a new (and very, very expensive) toy, and I'm really looking forward to using it. I actually managed to press the dial button ask the neighbour to go see Harry Potter with me tomorrow, and sky didn't come crashing down on me (she said she'd like to, in fact).

I think I need a drink.

1.12.05

Firefox

New version out. Old themes and extensions don't work. No updates for a half of them. Very, very annoying.
