Climate Change 

So I've signed up for this year's Blog Action Day. The theme this year - climate change.

Now, strange as it may seem coming from a biologist/environmental bureaucrat, but I don't care. About the climate change, that is.

Oh, I don't doubt that it's happening. Or that we're a major cause of it. But so what? The weather is going to get more violent. The sea level will rise. It's not the end of the world. It's going to horribly, horribly inconvenience us, but that's about it.

We could use some inconveniencing. We've lost the sight of the priorities, and could use a reminder.
