Devine, Not TX 

There's a song by a band called Shinedown, Lady So Devine. When I first saw the name, I thought it was a mistake, so I checked. After looking up various sources, however, I was convinced the last word really is devine. OK, thought I, is it perhaps a different way of spelling divine, because that clearly is the word those guys are singing? I checked that, and it turns out that the only thing Devine Dictionary.com knows of is a village in Texas. It's also an Australian housing company, and many people's last name, but none of those things are something one would want to use in the context of that song... Lady so Texan village? I've never been to the place, so I can't say how beautiful/romantic/whatever it is, but is that something anyone would want to sing about a woman?

Therefore, I'm forced to conclude that the only reason the sung-about lady ends up likened to a village is because the song was written by stupid American kids who consider misspelling to be cool. But hey, I'm listening to the music similar to that of a band named Trapt. What did I expect?
