More Harry Potter

These days, I seem to need more than one reason to go somewhere. So after I picked up my new compact camera (the old Canon A75 seems to be in a process of developing a CCD failure, and I can't have one of those happening while I'm in London; so I got a Panasonic TZ2), I went to see the new Harry Potter flic.

It was a disappointment. An inevitable one, I suppose. The books are getting more complex. They were able to cut the unnecessary parts out of the third one, and concentrate on the most important aspect in the fourth, but with The Order of the Phoenix, they couldn't do the latter, and the former didn't really work. So the whole flic felt rushed and shallow, as they could develop neither the Umbridge's obnoxiousness, nor Harry's alienation from everyone, nor Fudge's paranoia, nor anything else. And the final battle at the Ministry sucked.

The film did, however, remind me that the last book is out, and that I really want to see how the saga ends.
