It Turns, Things Happen

Before I seriously started reading the 11th Wheel of Time book, I asked a person who had already read it, is the book different than the previous few ones. He said, things actually happen in this one. So it was, things actually happened. But they happened in the way Jordan usually does things: rushed. There were no climactic resolutions of tensions which have been building up for at least two previous books. Events just... Happened. In passing. As my people say, the mountains shook, and a mouse was born. Even though this book was better than previous two (not much of an achievement), it was a disappointment. But then again, wasn't that what I expected?
