Death of Stupidity 

This is a cruel world. Those who are strong, smart, and lucky, survive. Those who aren't, don't. Why should humans be exempt from that?

One of the more famous local writers says he dreads the Sunday morning news. They're always about young people dying on the roads, coming back from the clubs/parties/whatever, drunk, stupid, holding reins of too many horses. It's horrible, he says, things should be done to stop it.

I say, let them die. If they don't have enough brains to know they shouldn't get behind the wheel after a night of trying to poison themselves with alcohol, they deserve everything they get. It's the innocent bystanders who should be protected.
