Deities 

The entire concept of God the Father or Goddess the Mother in a monotheistic system is ridiculous. What meaning does the concept of a father have without a mother, and vice-versa? If there is only one god, it can be neither male nor female. If it is either, it requires an equal partner of the opposite gender in order to make sense, and therefore cannot be a single deity.
