E-mail.

OE has collapsed. It can no longer check all my accounts. It checks some of them, and reports meaningless 'unknown errors' for others.

I guess it's time to move on... And lo! Enter Thunderbird 0.8! The biggest flaw of the Netscape-like e-mail clients, separate sets of inbox-sent-trash-whatever folders for each account, has been removed, and I can start using it! The best thing is, it checks all of my 40+ POP/IMAP accounts with no problems. Now, I only need to find out how to do some things I'm used to doing, see if there are any nice extensions I could use, and, well, re-install the system... No point in switching things for real before I do that...

I only wonder when are they going to start to call it finished... Being used to unfinished Microsoft products which go by finished (and high) version numbers, seeing 0.x software makes me distinctly uncomfortable...
